More of The Good Stuff, Coming Right Up!

2012-09-15 19.10.25

It’s quite an understatement for us to say that we’re extremely happy with all the positive feedback we’ve been receiving from the folks who have tuned in to hear us on This Is Greeneville.com! It’s a two way street though, because we can’t begin to tell their listeners just how happy we are to be bringing them the best LOCAL bluegrass from across the country and from around the world! If you haven’t tuned in to listen to the great programming yet, be sure to do so! Of course, we’d love for you to surf over there on Saturday nights at 8 for The LocalGrass Radio Show and our brand new offering, Tennessee Saturday Night! but no matter what time of day or night you do decide to listen, their programming is top notch! You’ll hear it all! From the great local ‘grass that we play, to informative talk, great country music and what’s got to be one of the best blues playlists on the planet!  Join Woody J Shoemake, John Brown and Jeff Malone at This Is Greeneville.com and let them know you appreciate what they’re doing!

Speaking of great local ‘grass, this weeks show is going to be a good one! As always we’re going to be spinning music from everywhere! We’re going to start off with The Earl Brothers from San Francisco and head east! Besides music from the Earl Brothers’ great new CD “Hillbilly Outlaw”, we’re featuring music by Dave Geigerich from Maryland, Cross Road from North Carolina,  Grassville from Georgia, Southern Strings from Kentucky,  Canada’s Ducharme Family Band, plus a whole lot more! We know you’re going to love it!

Don’t forget, we’re still on Sunday nights at 90.7 FM WEHC! This week at WEHC you’ll be able to hear the episode featuring our interview with Kelley Nelson from Jonesville, Virginia. Kelley is a great singer who has just released a great new gospel project called ‘In The Waiting“. We feature a couple of tunes from this Steve Gulley production which also features many heavy hitters in today’s bluegrass world. Tune in to hear which ones joined Kelley in the studio for this star studded project! Besides Kelley’s interview, the episode is jam packed with lots of great music from all over the place as always!

Before we hit the button and bring this weeks edition of the LocalGrass blog to a close, we wanted to remind you of a couple of other projects that we’re mighty proud of. The first is our brand new show called “Tennessee Saturday Night!” which can be heard at 9 pm immediately following The LocalGrass Radio Show at This Is Greeneville on Saturday nights. Also, head over to Bluegrass Today to read our column! The column is appropriately called “LocalGrass” and brings you great stories all about local bluegrass bands and venues. The latest edition of LocalGrass is a story about the summer concert series in Kingsport, Tennessee called Bluegrass On Broad. Hopefully after reading all about Bluegrass on Broad, you’ll want to check out the rest of our articles! Until the next time, keep listening, keep reading, and be sure to tell a friend!

Do we have your local Bluegrass band’s music? If not, we need to fix that! Visit our website and click the “Submit Music” menu item to see how you can send us your projects!
